Island Hall is very much a family home (still privately owned) and this is the atmosphere that we try to preserve. We take immense pride in preserving and maintaining this beautiful house, which our family has had an associated since 1804. It is with genuine pleasure we welcome interested visitors to our much-loved family home and we hope you will enjoy your visit.
Island Hall is home to the Vane Percy family whose ancestors have lived here for eight generations in this finely proportioned, intimate, Georgian family house. Uniquely this river offers a secret way of arriving, if you choose an exclusive chauffeured hired boat to bring guests along the river and step out by the 18th century style Chinese Bridge.
Island Hall makes every visitor instantly welcome. The house has been enjoyed by many hundreds of parties and tour groups with both general and specialist interests over the last 40 years, since its careful restoration, begun in the 1980's. The house has been photographed and written up by numerous prestigious magazines and supplements and features in several books.
As part of the Invitation to View Historic Houses network individuals or parties of less than 20 who do not wish to pay the minimum group charge are recommended to book through ‘Invitation To View’ on one of our pre scheduled dates, where you can join like-minded individuals for Tea & Tour.
As a small family run and owned venue and pride ourselves on a bespoke service and in providing a venue which will be exclusively yours. We don't have specific packages, but prefer to tailor everything to suit you. Helping a maximum of 15 couples each year, we are the opposite of ‘a conveyor belt wedding venue’! At Island Hall we have been running events for over 30years and especially enjoy offering guests a unique Wedding Day experience.
